2nd Community Engagement

TINSHS’ vision of creating a Seniors Housing Community on Texada is another step closer to reality! Thank you to all the Texadans who shared their sunny June 4th afternoon with us at the Texada Island Community Hall, for its second Community Engagement.

Rachel Blaney’s assistant, Drewen Young, and Rob Hill, Assistant to Nicholas Simons, MLA, as well as, Sandy McCormick, Area D Representative for qathet Regional District, honoured us with their presence.

Presented with a variety of housing options, everyone engaged in a lively discussion circle afterwards, followed by a brief survey and refreshments.

Our thanks to Elizabeth Lloyd for her fabulous coffee and ensuring everyone was well taken care of with refreshments throughout the afternoon. We also appreciate Fran Garner for set-up / take-down of chairs, to Terry Hallo for note taking, and to Carolyn Walton-Kay for power point presentation tech aid and note taking.

TINSHS greatly appreciates every single person who came and provided such invaluable input and assistance within the circle, and with the survey. You are  helping us to create your vision of Seniors Housing on Texada Island: affordable, accessible and environmentally sustainable.
